lyrics

On a cool March morning, as the city awoke
As ice slowly faded in whiskey and coke
The pubs were buzzing with traditional song
As the glossy eyed patrons mumbled along
A sweet Irish girl had caught my eye
Her beauty and laughter I could not deny
The pints disappeared as did my focus
But I was falling in love at 2nd and Locust
The streets were packed with green and beads
With the sweet aroma of cigars and mead
The old cracked sidewalks were now a stage
For the dancers and pipers whom were now the rage

CHORUS

The pipes on the street belted an old rebel tune
That familiar sound of the rising of the moon
Many years later as the city constrained
Despite the struggle one pub still remained
And one day every March the streets pack with green
To create one hell of an Irish love scene

CHORUS
